Rosemarie C. Franchi, M.Ed. | Vice President—Monitoring and Compliance
Ms. Franchi joined Danya in 2012 as Vice President of Head Start Programs. With more than 35 years' experience in early education and administration, she provides strategic leadership and vision for the management of the Head Start National Monitoring Systems Support contract.
Prior to joining Danya, Ms. Franchi gained extensive experience as Director of the Worcester Public Schools, Child Development Head Start Program, and was responsible for the oversight of early childhood programs within the school district, which served more than 24,000 children. For 6 years, she served as Chairperson of the Massachusetts Head Start Association and has worked as an Early Childhood Consultant in a variety of settings. In addition, she was an Adjunct Early Childhood Faculty Member, teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in Administration and Management Systems, Supervision and Evaluation, Leadership and Early Literacy. Ms. Franchi also worked as the Administrative/Management/Fiscal Content Expert with the former Training and Technical Assistance Contract in Region I.
Ms. Franchi's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education from Worcester State University. She has participated in a Head Start/Johnson & Johnson Management Institute at the University of California in Los Angeles.
Ms. Franchi is recognized in the Head Start and the early childhood field as a leader, advocate, and strategic thinker at the local, state, and national level. She is a champion for Head Start children and believes strongly in the philosophy that social change can only be made by believing in the power of children and families to positively shape their own destinies.
